Pleasing God

Last week my Bible reading took me through the book of Galatians.  I was struck by a verse in Chapter 1.  It reads,

"Obviously, I'm not trying to win the approval of people, but of God.  If pleasing people were my goal I would not be Christ's servant."

The Apostle Paul knew first hand that the pursuit of pleasing God makes pleasing man irrelevant, and the effort of pleasing man makes pleasing God impossible.  It is hard for any of us to not account for what people think of us, but we're not called to please people, we're called to please God.

Who are you focused on pleasing?
